about

I like to brag, to a fault, about having released 36 projects (so far) ranging from mixtapes, albums, one live freestyle CD, EPs, 2 early demos, etc. all recorded since I was 14 through different means (and in a lot of cases, with different groups/bands) Be assured, this little compilation doen't count on my numberi n scalr as one of those, even though it does feature music not available anywhere else. Still at 36 fam. No cheating in this corner of the ring (unless you count the 5 minute EP. And to that I say don't tempt me to drop the 10 minute LP)

Back on topic....This project, is in all fairness, a rerelease more than anything, of a lil album I dropped called Spit A Flow. It was recorded extremely ghetto-like, but I was driven by a message way more than in any of my previous projects. I was at this point in my life I felt I had to be the best there ever was. Damn kidss and their G.O.A.T shit, right?
Spit A Flow was an album that I ordered covers for, with 10 songs listed on the back. I ordered like....way too many covers. So I would burn the ten songs, which constantly got reworked, Rewritten and conpletely Changed (I justified this as my Shiny Toy Guns We Are Pilots peoject) and then with the remaining space on the CD (roughly 10-15 tracks depending on soze) I'd just jam a bunch of new freestyles, old joints I liked, or stuff I was into at the time.
Each disc was decorated with one of a kid sharpie art. Of the 1000 people that got a copy (I handed them out like business card to everybody I saw), not more than 20 people ever got the same songs on a CD and nobody ever got the same artwork.

Stay Silver is the definitive version of Spit A Flow, for all intensive purposes, and like Spit A Flow, in includes some of my favorite tracks from that period in my recording history.

1. Ghetto Track Lovin' first appeared on 2011's "Spit A Flow" and was the only song never reworked.

2. American Dream first appeared on 2010's American Dream

3. Stay Silver is a newer track from 2016 that was recorded on the exact same ghetto equipment used to produce Spit A Flow after I lost all connections to the music industry.

4. No Logo first appeared on Spit A Flow, however this version was made for a 2012 released

5. Waiting first appeared on THE INtimmyDATION EP

6. Feeling was an unreleased 2015 track, I always planned on redoing the shitty hook to but lost the beat. Procrastination's a bitch. Morgan kills it. Forever jealous of my lol protege. Best rapper I've ever met. Most passionate I guess. Whatever that pissed off thing you have in your voice is called. That thing. So dope.

7. This version of The White Cup Jam was recut in for the 2012 Spit A Flow reissue.

8. Freely is from 2009's "The Freely EP" which, believe it or not, was entirely freestyle, recorded first take over a beat I had never heard. Took a couple takes to memorize and get down the backing dubbs. Only cut was after the first chorus. Gained my composure and busted the next half in one take too. No lyrics or nothin dawgie dawg.

9. Aces Vendetta is a mashup of a song released on Creatures of The 801's 2011 release "indubidably High Rhymes" and a song from $trktly gangsta The Freestyle Sessions with Trev G (in 2010)

10. I honestly dont know what peoject Tools n Blokes came off of. Don't tell nardwaur.

11. Mic flo coo is a track recorded on the same day as track 3. I recorded this kne first though.

12. Flic The Bic was one of those songs I kept redoing, over and over, and I'm not really sure why. I kept rewriting verses, and remastering it. I honestly don't know if this version was ever actually released or not.
I'm not really sure which one was the best either.

13. Imma was a song I recorded on my camera and made the beat on my PS2 when I was super hermiting it up with my baby and wasn't really OUT there working and RECORDING and playing shows, I was just in all the time kickin it with my daughter. It is, to date, my only real YouTube video I have up. It's mos def worth a lil lookskie upskie on the ole google.

The album art is a reworked version of Deano's ori gignal Spit A Flow cover. The original art is included with this album. It is still my favorite album cover to date. And not just my albums either. Like. My favorite album cover ever.

Deano's the man.

Peace y'all,
